Yttrium stabilization enables this material to operate as corrosion resistance at temperatures above 18000C by eliminating the likelihood of phase transformation at critical temperatures. These coatings are very useful in applications involving corrosive gaseous media.
This coating is designed to be refractory in nature and therefore exhibits a 6% to 8% porosity. In applications involving high temperature corrosion, it is essential that the proper choice of bond/base material be made based on the knowledge of gaseous effluents and the types of products that may condense on cooled components. A full range of NiCrAlY's, CoCrAlY's, and MoCrAlY's are available for consideration in your applications. Data are being continuously generated by laboratories concerning the suitability of various compositions at levels of corrosion stress. |
